staff not so friendly - my wife was fumbling with self check-in process, but nobody came to assist.

Clean and comfortable; great location; great price.

Central heating was far too hot and stuffy. There wasn't a way to cool the room except by opening a window.

i was only staying for 1 night so i booked the cheapeast room available on the site. Very Big Rooms . exceptional value for money. extremley good breakfast . very good location about 10.minute walk from the central train station and with many places to eat and drink within walking distance . one of the very few hotels in Japan that I've stayed in that allowed me to check in before check in time without charging me extra. very friendly staff members . highly recommended.

if i had to say something bad the bath room (tub) has a little bit old. apart from that nothing else to point out.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tobu Hotel Grande; the location is perfect and staff is very nice. The hotel itself is a bit old but it definitely has not lost its charm. Accommodation and amenities are the top notch, we did not get a chance for the breakfast or restaurant but I am sure the food would be great there as well. Will stay again if in Utsunomia next time.

It’s not a bad thing, but I wish the air condition worked. Maybe because it’s autumn it only had warm air and even if you turned up the fan speed, you barely felt it. But that’s just me; I’m from Canada so I prefer to be cold.

The building is a bit old and parking is underground parking.

The hotel is in the middle of the city, near 7-11, Lawson, FamilyMart. The breakfast is delicious.

The location was nice and close to a variety of restaurants and shops. The staff were very friendly and some even spoke English, so that was wonderful. The lobby is beautiful when you enter. There are several bus stops nearby, too, so you could go to the station easily.

The underground parking was narrow and a little difficult to understand. There are only 2 elevators, and only one of them goes down to the underground parking. There’s a parking fee of ¥1800 when you check out. The breakfast option was also rather expensive, so we didn’t eat there.

The room size is more spacious than others business hotel I use to stay.The location is exceptional.The staff is polite and professional also fluent in english.

The in-room refrigerator was not cold at all, it feel like 20c degree box.Take some time for air-condition to cool, about 3 hours.

Book a room here for a stopover from a long drive. They provide enough amenities to rest. The space in the room and the bathroom are okay. The check in process is smooth and the staff can speak english.Parking available at the hotel for Y1800.

Location and staffs are great!

Air conditioner is not installed room by room. Hotel use central air conditioner for all rooms and customers can adjust by heater.

Hotel is 25mins by walking from the station, but near the arcade street and the most famous /popular gyōza places.Good location overall, not bad also as a base if you want to go to Nikko as a day trip.Staff gentle and available as always in Japan. Room is actually bigger than the standard there.

Location was within walking distance of city centre and attractions. About a 10 minute walk to main train station. Although it would be advisable to get a taxi if you have large luggage. Breakfast: plenty of choice, pleasant/helpful staff. Very clean and tidy.

It was good, quite basic but good value. Only slept for one night while transiting.

The breakfast was absolutely incredible and the staff really really nice.

The location can be a bit annoying if you're travlling by public transport and don't have a lot of experience travelling in Japan. The trains are scarce and busses can (surprisingly) have delays.

reach breakfast if you are into Japanese food. There was also veggies and an omlet station which made a really good omlet.The rooms are nice and roomy, amenities are fine. all in all it was a nice place to stay with my family.
